How to review a turnover faster than scrolling 100+ photos

By TurnAudit · Last updated October 10, 2026

A faster review starts with a consistent recording path, not a larger pile of photos. Have the person on site film each room in the same order before and after cleaning, label the turnover and stay, and flag specific exceptions. Review the high-risk rooms first, then open the original footage for anything that needs a closer look.

The problem that led to TurnAudit

The host who built TurnAudit was spending 10–15 minutes per turnover, about three times a week, scrolling more than 100 photos and over 10 videos. The operational problem was not a lack of images. It was the absence of a consistent sequence and an easy way to find the relevant room later.

A repeatable review path

  1. Ask for the same short room sequence every turnover, with a wide view followed by any necessary close-up.
  2. Label the recording with property, date, stay, room, and whether it was made before or after cleaning.
  3. Start the review with bathrooms, beds, kitchen, damage-prone surfaces, and any cleaner-noted exception. Do not interpret silence as a passed inspection.
  4. When a question arises later, retrieve that turnover's original recording rather than searching a chat thread or camera roll.

Where automation stops

A computer can surface candidate moments, but it can miss issues and can flag something that is not damage. Human review of the source recording remains the decision point.

Common questions

Do I need a long video?

No. A consistent view of each room is usually more navigable than an unstructured long clip, provided important details receive close-ups.

Does AI replace watching the recording?

No. It can direct attention to possible issues, but a host should inspect the original footage and the context.

Where TurnAudit fits

TurnAudit files the guided pre-clean and post-clean recordings by room and stay. Its optional AI review surfaces moments worth viewing, while the host checks the linked originals.

AI review is advisory. It does not determine damage, responsibility, cleanliness, or eligibility for any claim or reimbursement.
